We are excited to share with you our Bohemian Bop event! After working closely with designer, Heather Wylie, we created the perfect environment at a local hotspot in Birmingham- The Nest. We focused on creating a fun atmosphere for Heather to release her new line of tee designs from Bohemian Bop as well as the Bohem Del Mar fashion preview. In addition to the clothing presented, the event featured pop up shops including Kate Morris Jewelry, Maudern Art by Mary Maude Crenshaw, and henna from the Gypsy Leaf. Handley Breaux Designs | Caroline & Jim

If Grace Kelly was reincarnated as a bride in Birmingham, Alabama, she would be Caroline. Caroline radiated elegance on her wedding day. She truly was the epitome of the classic southern bride! Always the one to lean towards simplicity, Caroline knew exactly what she wanted for her wedding: classic, clean lines, and southern. And might I say we nailed it! I got to work with some of my favorite Birmingham wedding vendors for this wedding, too. Thank you 509 Photo for perfectly capturing the day. I hope you all enjoy looking through these images as much as I have loved remembering the day while posting this blog!

Handley Breaux Designs: Here's to the Men

Let's be honest... 80% of weddings are about the bride. How beautiful she is, how unique her dress is, how her personal style is reflected in the decor... Well beside every one of those brides and her bridesmaids is a group of guys that don't get enough time in the spotlight. So today, here's to the men! Guys, we so appreciate you getting all dressed up, having a good attitude about hours of photos, wearing flowers on your lapels, and sometimes missing that big football game. Wedding receptions wouldn't be what they are without your fun-loving antics.

Handley Breaux Designs | Kaitlyn & Johnny

Fall is my favorite time of year. The crisp air, the golden leaves, the clothes...everything about it. Needless to say, Fall weddings are some of my favorites too! Kaitlyn & Johnny were married October 10 in front of family and friends at Windwood Equestrian. We used a color palette of deep jewel tones throughout the whole day, and it came together beautifully.  I feel like I say this about all of my brides, but Kaitlyn was beaming with joy. The couple chose not to do a first look (which I love!), and the look on Johnny's face when Kaitlyn came down the aisle was unforgettable. We were truly honored to be a part of such a special day for two amazing people!

Handley Breaux Designs | Katherine & David

People talk about towns where you go home and everyone from the checkout lady at the grocery store to the local police officer knows that you're back by the time you pull in your driveway. Enterprise, Alabama is one of those places. And on September 11 the entire town celebrated their sweetheart Katherine and her marriage to David. Katherine's wedding was a classic southern affair in every aspect of the term. Her mother worked diligently with me to give Katherine the wedding of her dreams. When the day finally came, every face was a happy face and every heart was filled with joy for the newlyweds.

The 2015 Antiques at the Gardens was a huge success! Thank you to each person who came to the show and supported the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we appreciate it! The 'Art of the Rose' floral tastemaker hallway was really a welcomed addition to the show. The installations were up from Thursday to Sunday -- only a few roses wilted!

I personally want to thank each tastemaker for their participation in the event. Each installation was incredible! Throughout the show, we had voting open for the People's Choice award and drumroll please.....Mark Thompson & Jay Draper are the winners! They brought to live a Gustav Klimt painting and it was just spectacular.
