We had the best time traveling up to Highlands, North Carolina this past August to celebrate the marriage of Sarah and Tinus! We are grateful for the opportunity to work with new vendors, and we loved the way everything turned out. From the statement cross at the ceremony to the floral archway at the reception, this entire weekend was quite the show stopper! Floressence Flowers created a lush floral design in the most refreshing color palette. We always love when couples include their furry friends in their special day, especially when they are so well behaved like Ginger was. We incorporated a sketch (courtesy of Weezie B Designs) of Ginger into many of the paper products, and it was such a personal and sweet touch. Sarah and Tinus, we wish you the best!

What was your favorite part of the wedding day?

The first look was so special. It was such a great time for us to have a few minutes away from everyone to share together! Dancing with all our friends and family is a close second to my favorite part! Big Bling and the Funk Machine was incredible and got everyone on the dance floor.

What did you like the most out of the wedding planning process?

The details. I loved incorporating Ginger (our fur baby) into everything! The sketch we had made of her was such a hit and was so fun for her to be a part of our day!

Your dress was so beautiful! How did you know it was the one?

I actually picked another dress at another store. Thank goodness there is a two day grace period because I got home that night and didn’t sleep. I woke up the next morning and called the other store and said I needed to cancel that order and then went to Carriage House and fell in love with the LianCarlo dress I wore! I loved that it had a detachable skirt! It made it so fun for the reception because I felt like I had another dress

Tell us about your first dance song and how you chose it.

“Africa” by Toto. Tinus is from South Africa and honestly we just thought it would be funny. I wish I had some sweet story about the song, but nope just thought it would be entertaining.
