Emily and Rustin are the kind of couple you just want to hang out with --- laid back, fun loving, and completely in love with each other. Every bit of their engagement session with Anna Howard Studios in Atlanta is absolutely dreamy. The rolling fields and picturesque scenery....take me there now! Handley: Emily, how did you and Rustin Meet?
Emily: We met my freshman year, his junior year and we continued in the same social circle all my years at Auburn. I always thought he was so cute with his bright blue eyes, so my junior year when he decided he was going to convince me to date him, I caved. I saw the heart of gold that hid behind his wild frat boy ways and it turned out to be the best decision I have ever made.
H: How did you two get engaged?
E: Rustin surprised me by being home when I got home from work (not the norm, I usually get home around 2pm). He had a rose taped to the door, and when I opened the door candles and roses filled the place. Our song played through the halls of the house, and the roses and candles led me to my prince charming where he said all the right things and got down on one knee. I obviously said yes! We immediately packed up to celebrate with friends and family at my parents’ lake house on Lake Martin.
H: What are you most excited about when it comes to being married?
E: I can’t wait to just start this new chapter of our lives. Living together now, not much will change in that aspect, but we are moving from the suburbs of Atlanta to an awesome neighborhood in the city and are absolutely thrilled about that! My name change won’t be too bad either!
H: What is your perfect day together?
E: Sleeping in, a bowl of frosted flakes in bed, taking Scout, our 3-year-old pup to the park. and a late dinner at JCT Kitchen, our favorite restaurant.
