Handley Breaux Designs | Elizabeth & Robert

What a whirlwind 2020 has been! On June 20th we conquered our first “COVID-19” wedding, and it was fabulous. Wedding planning in the middle of a pandemic meant facing challenges and creating lots of changes. Although this wedding was not what Elizabeth and Robert had originally expected, it was perfect in every way. Following their live-streamed ceremony at Canterbury United Methodist Church, the newlyweds celebrated with fifty of their closest friends and family at the Country Club of Birmingham. We worked with Marigold Designs and Prophouse Rentals to create the most unique reception space for a seated dinner. Four large boxwood hedges enclosed an incredible arrangement of hydrangeas formed into a tree in the center of the room. The best part about all the hydrangeas is that they came straight from the yard of the bride’s parents. With everyone seated, all eyes were truly on Elizabeth and Robert as they shared an intimate first dance before toasting to their guests. Even though the Coronavirus threw us some curveballs, we truly believe this wedding was magical and the love Elizabeth and Robert share proves that. Cheers to the Burles, we wish you both the best!
