It was such a joy getting to celebrate the marriage of Allie and John this past November! We loved getting to transform the traditional rooms of Birmingham Country Club with so many fun lights and white drapes. Allie had a vision of what she wanted the night to be, and it was such a joy to work with her and her mom to bring it to life. She wanted it to be enchanting from the moment you walked in to the moment you left — and that is what it was! We had fun dreaming up some custom moments for her that guests were talking about all night long. Her light-up cake table may be one of our favorites! HBD: “How did you and John meet?”

Allie: “We actually met the night before John graduated from Auburn! I went to a graduation party with my friend Catherine because her boyfriend and best family friend were also graduating, and Cat introduced John and I there... thanks, Cat!”

HBD: “What was your favorite part of your wedding day?”

Allie: “Everything! I don’t know how to pick one... The ceremony was so special! To be married in front of all our friends and family in the Church I have grown up going to is amazing. Of course, the reception with ALL YOUR BEST FRIENDS is hard to beat. We had so much fun the whole night!”

HBD: “What did you like most about the wedding planning process?”

Allie: “I loved getting to plan things with my mom. Even though she got annoyed with it I am sure (haha), we had such a great time getting to go through the process together! So much of this vision was her’s and I loved it all!”

HBD: “What surprised you the most about the wedding planning process?”

Allie: “How many people and efforts it takes to turn your vision into a reality! Thanks to Handley and the best team ever (and Marigold designs) it truly WAS a reality!”
