Handley Breaux Designs | What We're Thankful For: Handley

As we prepare for Thanksgiving tomorrow (!!!), our sweet owner Handley wanted to pop in and share about her season of thanksgiving this year.

“This year has been a hard year for me personally, so this Thanksgiving I am really clinging onto what I am thankful for. First, I am very thankful for my strong network of friends. They have been through it all with me and continuously show up for me and to have that kind of support and camaraderie is such a blessing. To work in an industry that is so demanding of your time and energy, it is nice to have solid friends that no matter how much time has passed (because we work every weekend and don’t get to see them a lot!) can pick back up where we left off. I do not have a lot of extended family that lives in town, so as I’ve gotten older my friends have definitely become my family.

I am also thankful for my work family and clients who are so wonderful! We say this all the time, but I am truly so thankful to work with amazing people. It is really such a special feeling with someone trusts you to carry out the biggest day of their life thus far. Some of our clients become just like family to us, and we love them so much! All of the long days and nights are worth it when you’re building relationships that solid and see their smiling faces on their wedding day. I also could not do anything that I do without my HBD family! Thankful for them every day of the year! I am very grateful to have a career that makes me excited to go to work in the morning and constantly inspires me to be a better version of myself. “

“Finally, anyone who knows me well will laugh when they read this…but I’m thankful for my little furry child Eloise. She really is such a special cat, her personality is tough at times (most times) but, hey, you always know where you stand with her so that’s something to be said right?! I love her fat belly and sassy personality. Cheers to you Weezy!”
