Fall of 2014 Handley began Handley Breaux Designs and took us all on a wild journey. Not one to put herself in a box of only being a wedding planner, she has done events of every shape and size. Three years later, her team has expanded to four people and seasonal interns. Today, she looks back and shares with us some of her favorite moments of Handley Breaux Designs.

Three years ago I took a leap of faith and started Handley Breaux Designs. I remember being strangely calm when it all came to fruition...something my friends and family tell me was a sign that I was meant to do it. But I see it now as God giving me the peace before my life became completely consumed with being a small business owner at a young age. The last couple of years have been the biggest roller coaster, I won't lie! I won't sit here and say it has been full of joy and rainbows. Being a small business owner is hard. Simple as that. I had to be CEO, COO, head of marketing, accountant, web designer, wizard of the SEO...all at the same time.
All of the craziness aside, I am extremely proud of what has been built. Handley Breaux Designs is my first born child, and it has grown into something beautiful. Our team is vibrant and excited to get to work and cultivate new ideas. I am so thankful for all of our amazing clients who have trusted us with their big life moments: weddings, charity balls, funeral receptions, baby showers. We are so honored to be a part of those moments with you and to help you make memories. I am a very sentimental person (if you can't tell from this post) I think that is one of the reasons I ended up in this industry. So being there with my clients as they laugh, cry, vent about their frustrations, smile their biggest smiles..has been the biggest reward. When people tell me "wow you have the most fun job", I say to them "Yes, it is a lot of fun, but whenever I am not excited to get up in the morning and go to work, I'll find something else to do." And my excitement for what I do is a direct correlation to the amazing people I get to work with on a daily basis. Not only have my clients been just that, my clients, but they've also poured into me and HBD and offered their advice and words of wisdom as we have grown and learned over the years.
So today, I want to thank every person who has encouraged me and cheered HBD on. I hope that I get to keep doing this for many years to come! I'm sharing some of my favorite photos below. We've worked on 79 weddings and events -- how crazy is that? Now, back to work so we can celebrate year 10 right around the corner :)
