On today's post we are happy to share with you Leslie Register's new book, Leslie's Party Diaries. The book reveals all of her entertaining dinner party secrets from the last 30 years. We can't wait to have her be a part of the pop up shop for After Hours at the Gardens!

Leslie Byars Register left her native home of Mayfield, Kentucky, to study art, her passion since early childhood. After receiving her Bachelor of Fine Art degree from the University of Alabama, she started searching for a way to use her education, ending up as a senior photo stylist for Southern Living magazine for nine years. Since then Leslie has contributed as a freelance stylist to many other well-known publications, such as Cooking Light, Oxmoor House Publishing, Cooking with Paula Deen, special interest publications for Pillsbury and Betty Crocker, and Birmingham Home and Garden magazine. With the combination of art and good food, entertaining came easy. Leslie has had a long yearning to share these skills with others. Leslie’s Party Diaries is a revelation of a variety of exciting parties, pretty decorations, and delicious food.

After Hours at the Gardens is October 7 from 5-7pm at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. Admission is free with the purchase of a General Admission ticket. There will be a cash bar featuring cocktails by CatHead Vodka and Clyde Mays whiskey as well as food by Real & Rosemary. We hope to see everyone there!
