Handley Breaux Designs | Claire & Joe

This past August we had the pleasure of celebrating high school sweethearts, Claire and Joe! With an original date in May, we were eager to finally get this couple down the aisle and married. For an August in Birmingham, we couldn’t have asked for better weather. The sun was shining and the breeze was just right. Surrounded by lots of family and friends, we watched Claire and Joe say “I do” at Brookwood Baptist Church before heading to Vestavia Country Club to celebrate.

Handley Breaux Designs | After Hours at the Gardens: Botaniko

If you tell us that Deborah Stone and her daughter Alex are doing something new, chances are that we're the first ones to jump on board. We're such fans of this mother daughter duo! When they started the all-natural skin care line Botaniko, it was no different. I, personally, am an addict of their lavender spray. I douse myself in it before I go to sleep almost every night! So in the planning of the pop-up shop for After Hours at the Gardens, I knew that Botaniko had to be a part of it! We know that y'all will be instant fans as well!

Handley Breaux Designs | Bohemian Shakedown

We are excited to share with you our Bohemian Bop event! After working closely with designer, Heather Wylie, we created the perfect environment at a local hotspot in Birmingham- The Nest. We focused on creating a fun atmosphere for Heather to release her new line of tee designs from Bohemian Bop as well as the Bohem Del Mar fashion preview. In addition to the clothing presented, the event featured pop up shops including Kate Morris Jewelry, Maudern Art by Mary Maude Crenshaw, and henna from the Gypsy Leaf. Beautiful models meandered through the party showing off Bohem’s new designs while guests sipped cocktails from Cathead Vodka.

Handley Breaux Designs | Antiques at the Gardens Art of the Rose

The 2015 Antiques at the Gardens was a huge success! Thank you to each person who came to the show and supported the Birmingham Botanical Gardens, we appreciate it! The 'Art of the Rose' floral tastemaker hallway was really a welcomed addition to the show. The installations were up from Thursday to Sunday -- only a few roses wilted!

I personally want to thank each tastemaker for their participation in the event. Each installation was incredible! Throughout the show, we had voting open for the People's Choice award and drumroll please.....Mark Thompson & Jay Draper are the winners! They brought to live a Gustav Klimt painting and it was just spectacular.
