Courtney and Nelson tied the knot this past April with a stunning ceremony and reception at the bride’s childhood home! We loved transforming the carport and driveway into a breathtaking entrance and seated dinner area for the guests. Watching our design plans come to life truly is one of the best moments and we couldn’t have done it without the help of Buffy Hargett Flowers, Event Rentals Unlimited and Design Productions. It was such a joy celebrating this couple’s special day and we are so thankful to have been a part of it! Thank you to Alisha Crossley photography for capturing Courtney and Nelson’s big day.
It’s been a busy wedding season here at Handley Breaux Designs, but we are still finding time to enjoy the summer! Below are a few things that we are loving around the office! Leave it to the staff at HBD to keep you looking and feeling cool in this Alabama heat!
We never thought we would be saying this, but there is nothing like cracking open a nice can of Rosé on the beach! Half a bottle comes in these things—what’s not to love? Canned rosé is super easy to pack and delicious to drink! So instead of a packing that bulky bottle in your cooler, opt for some cans! Una Lou and Yes Way Rosé are two of the office’s faves!
Don’t just protect your eyes this summer, dress them up! Elevate your outfit by adding some super fun shades! We currently have our stylish eyes on Le Specs! Le Specs has eyewear that is super chic and won’t break the bank!
Yes, we said head bands! Call us nostalgic, but we are loving this hair accessory comeback! We have heart eyes for Lele Sadoughi’s statement headbands! Lele puts a sophisticated and mature spin on the headband! You can find her headbands here in town at Tulipano! Now we are just waiting on three quarter length shirts and tamagotchis to make a comeback!
Steel City Pops
Beat the heat this summer with fresh, organic popsicles! Steel City Pops has dozens of flavors and toppings to choose from. All of their flavor options are gluten free and locally sourced. With three locations in Birmingham, you’re bound to find one that is close to you!
Personal Chef for the Night
Want to have a nice night out without actually going out? By hiring a personal chef for the evening, you can have that nice five-star dinner and experience in the comfort of your own home. HBD loves Chef John Hall, who worked on the line at Gramercy Tavern and other NYC hot spots before coming home to Birmingham to become chef and co-owner of Post Office Pies. John Hall is able to create a delicious four course dinner, paired with amazing wine, in any kitchen! And don’t worry about clean up, John and his team have got you!
Slides are a must-have around HBD offices! They are so easy, comfortable, and go with practically anything! Dress them up or dress them down. You can never go wrong with a summer time slide! Check out Target or Zara for some cute and inexpensive slides!
